Complaints Details

This article discusses the sources aspect of MxToolbox's Complaints feature.

Note: For the purposes of this data, MxToolbox uses the term "complaint" to describe every type of criticism that a user, server, or system could potentially send about an email. For example, a message recipient might determine one of your emails looks like spam or is configured improperly and generate a complaint about it.

The Complaints Details page is a source of various data from external sources that are actual registered user complaints, such as clicking the "Spam" or "Junk" buttons on emails you send to them or other methods for users to mark your message as content they did not want to receive. It provides an overview of the inboxes flagging your messages as complaints and works in tandem with the Complaints Messages page, which offers an investigative approach to each complaint filed.

Complaints Details Table

For a listing of complaints, the Complaints Detail table shows Inbox, Reported Complaints, Report Type, Source, and Detail/Messages data.

The Detail column is especially helpful to view the complaints submitted by individual providers. Simply click the blue Detail link to create a complaints data chart for a specific inbox, such as Rackspace.

Complaint Integrations

To begin populating your data, you need to set up the Complaint Integrations section here. You will find feedback loops and other complaint reporting in this section. These are usually derived from users clicking "Spam" or "Junk" in their inbox. You might also get data in bounced addresses, unsubscribed requests, or users who have whitelisted your emails.
