Monitoring Notifications
This article helps explain the Notifications tab on the Monitoring dashboard.
Notification policies allow you to define how changes in the status of your monitors are communicated to your team. You can click here to access your Notifications setup in the Monitoring section.
Your account starts with a "Default" notification policy and will automatically be set to send alerts for all of your monitors to the account owner via email.
By creating custom policies, you can define advanced notification behavior. Tags define which monitors will trigger the policy. The Email To and SMS To sections allow you to specify who will be notificated, as well as the method of how each recipient receives alerts. Callback allows you to set up a URL to be notified with a webhook when changes are detected. Wait allows you to specify how long a monitor must be down before a notification is generated, and Repeat lets you request continuous notifications until the problem is resolved. Ignore Alerts lets you ignore specific problems that you are not interested in being notified about.
Note: Prior to adding recipients to your notification policies, you must invite them. Once they have accepted your invitation, you can add those users to any notification policy.
